ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ

‘The aim of this choir is to use all we learnt during our time in the amazing choir at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ to bring amazing choral experiences to Melbourne,' chorister Thomas Bland (TC 2009) said.

'We are under the patronage of ex-ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Chaplain, Andreas Loewe and ex-ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Director of Music, Michael Leighton Jones. The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ connections abound.'

The new choir includes both ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ alumni and non-ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ singers.

Along with several other Polyphonic Voices singers, Thomas was a member of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ College Choir for 4 years whilst living in residential College.

Fittingly, Polyphonic Voices will perform their first concert, Songs of Farewell, on 16 May at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ College Chapel. The concert will commemorate 100 years since the beginning of World War I (particularly appropriate given the chapel is a memorial for the lives that were lost during this time).
